Custom pricing for events can get expensive. This is true especially when you add on-site staff support, which many nonprofits assume they need to justify the cost. There’s no real CRM or donor database. OneCause is fundraising-focused, not database-focused. You’ll likely need another system to manage your day-to-day donor relationships. Elizabeth M. calls OneCause’s reporting options “subpar” compared to her previous platform.

When it comes to user feedback, 4aGoodCause gets consistently high ratings, with most reviewers highlighting the range of features offered in the platform, how easy it is for their team to get up to speed, and the personal support from the 4aGoodCause team.
In her G2 review, Lisa K., who manages campaigns and events for her organization, gave 4aGC a 5-star rating and described the platform as “super intuitive,” noting that “recurring donations have become a huge portion of our annual donation revenue.” She also called out how easily she can share access with co-workers and volunteers, which “saves [her] tons of time.”

BetterWorld positions itself similarly to OneCause—events, ticketing, live auctions, crowdfunding, built-in social media tools, and virtual fundraising. From what I’ve seen, events are really their specialty.
BetterWorld strengths:
Event tools: Auctions, raffles, event ticketing, and paddle raises—all focused on in-person and virtual events. In her review, Kelly C. calls BetterWorld her “go-to for silent auctions and events.”
“Free” plan option: For many users, “free” is the strongest selling point (it’s not exactly free, but more on that below). Stacey M. says“I love that it is free for my nonprofit to use,” and Jim D. says price was a make it or break it for his team:“We simply cannot afford auction platforms that charge a sizable flat fee.”
Confusing pricing structure: This is a big one. BetterWorld offers a “forever free” plan with donor tips (defaulting around 10%), but they also charge 2.9% + $0.30 in credit card processing fees—which is higher than the regular nonprofit Stripe rate. On top of that, they add a 0.25% “fraud protection” fee, bringing the total to 3.15%. If you opt for their paid plans to avoid donor tips, you still pay 2.9% plus platform fees ranging from 2.2% to 5% depending on the type of donation or event. It’s layered, and it adds up fast.
Donor tip confusion: A “free” platform might sound great in theory, but it can be a really confusing and frustrating donation process for donors. In her review, Mitzi N. talks about receiving complaints from donors after realizing they had been charged for fees they weren’t expecting.
No CRM: Like OneCause, BetterWorld is fundraising-focused. You’re not managing donor relationships here long-term.
Donation pages aren’t great: I tested a few examples (lots of steps, clunky design, not optimized for conversions).
Compared to OneCause: BetterWorld and OneCause serve similar markets—event-heavy nonprofits. OneCause has a stronger reputation and more comprehensive event support, but BetterWorld offers a “free” option if you’re comfortable with donor tips.

Fundraising tools cost extra: The CRM is the core product. If you want online donation forms, that’s an additional $40/month. Volunteer management? Another $119/month. These add-ons add up and can be a source of frustration for users (like Kylee L notes in her Capterra review).

Neon One (formerly Neon CRM) positions itself as an all-in-one platform, offering a full CRM with fundraising tools, event registration, and membership management built in.
