How to Connect 4aGoodCause to Little Green Light

If your nonprofit runs on Little Green Light, you already have a donor database you like. What you may not have is a set of fundraising pages that can keep up with it.

LGL’s built-in forms are fine for collecting a gift, but they weren’t built to grow a monthly giving program, run a peer-to-peer campaign, or turn more of the traffic you already have into donors.

That’s the gap we set out to close.

In the September 2026 Office Hours webinar, we rolled out a direct, real-time integration between 4aGoodCause and Little Green Light (LGL) that lets you pair the donor database you already trust with fundraising pages built to convert.

Ronald covers why 4aGC built it, walks through exactly what syncs, then enables it live on screen and pushes sample transactions into a live LGL account.

It’s one of the shorter Office Hours sessions we’ve had for a new feature, and that’s not an accident. The setup is genuinely that simple.

Smarter fundraising starts here.

How to Connect 4aGoodCause to Little Green Light

In this session:

  • A live walkthrough of enabling the integration and generating your LGL API key
  • What a real-time sync actually means and what happens the moment a transaction lands
  • Every transaction type that pushes across the integration: one-time gifts, recurring gifts, event and product registrations, and peer-to-peer donations
  • How 4aGC matches donors to existing LGL constituent records, and what happens when there’s no match
  • How peer-to-peer gifts carry peer credit into LGL automatically

5 top takeaways from this Office Hours session

1. 4aGC fills a direct gap for Little Green Light users.

Some of our clients love and use Little Green Light—we love them too!—but find themselves in need of more robust fundraising tools that are dedicated to building sustainable revenue over time.

Ronald named the specific gaps in the session:

  • Monthly giving is a checkbox on an LGL form rather than a program. 4aGC gives you forms built around recurring gifts, automation that keeps those donors giving, prompts to upgrade them over time, and a donor portal where monthly donors update their own card and gift amount themselves.
  • LGL forms are hard to optimize for high-converting campaigns. 4aGC donation pages convert at 27% on average, against the 11% industry benchmark from the M+R Benchmarks Study, with an average one-time gift of $281 versus $126 industry-wide.
  • Peer-to-peer isn’t supported in LGL at all. If you want volunteers and board members raising money on your behalf through personal fundraising pages, you need a platform that runs those campaigns.

This integration makes that possible, WITHOUT having to change the donor CRM that you already love. You get the best of both worlds!

2. The integration pushes every transaction to LGL in real time.

This isn’t a nightly batch job or a scheduled export. The moment a transaction completes in 4aGoodCause, the record is on its way to Little Green Light. As Ronald put it during the walkthrough, the data moves right as the transaction happens.

3. It’s not only donations that sync.

Anything that counts as a transaction in 4aGC pushes across:

  • One-time donations
  • Recurring monthly gifts
  • Registrations from event pages — tickets, sponsorships, raffle tickets, t-shirts, or any product you sell at any price
  • Peer-to-peer donations made through an individual fundraiser’s page

Each record carries its details with it: the campaign, the gift designation or fund, and a description. You can also enter offline gifts manually in 4aGC and have those push over. Most teams already sitting on an LGL database will keep entering offline gifts directly in LGL, and that’s fine too.

4. Donors get matched to existing records (or created fresh).

When a transaction pushes into LGL, the integration first looks for a constituent it already knows. It matches on email address, then on a combination of name and mailing address. Every online gift in 4aGC requires an email, so that’s usually what does the work.

Find a match, and the gift attaches to that existing constituent. No match, and it creates a new record with name, email, phone, and mailing address.

5. Peer-to-peer gifts bring their peer credit with them.

This one’s worth knowing if you run peer-to-peer campaigns, because it’s the piece people usually end up doing by hand.

When someone gives through an individual’s fundraising page, 4aGC creates the donation record on the donor’s constituent record and adds a peer credit (LGL’s version of a soft credit) to the volunteer or board member who brought that donor in. If that fundraiser doesn’t exist in LGL yet, they get their own constituent record, with the source gift attached.

So your peer-to-peer fundraisers show up in your database as the relationship-holders they actually are, without anyone sitting down to soft-credit a spreadsheet full of gifts after the campaign closes.

💡 Want to see it running on your own setup? I can walk through the integration, your donation pages, and your monthly giving setup in a live, no-pressure demo. Book a demo, or watch a recorded one first if that’s more your speed.

What if you’re already using Little Green Light’s donation forms?

Most LGL users are, and there’s nothing wrong with that. The forms are right there, they’re simple, and the data lands in your database with nothing else to set up. If you run a campaign or two a year, that feature may be enough to do the trick.

The question worth asking is what those forms cost you in gifts that you never see.

A donation page that leads with monthly giving, offers suggested recurring amounts with impact statements at each level, and catches one-time donors at checkout with a conversion offer performs differently than a form where recurring is a checkbox.

In 2025, the monthly giving pop-up on 4aGC pages converted 5 out of every 100 one-time donors into monthly givers, and the average recurring gift on the platform was $55 a month (compared to the $24 industry average).

You don’t have to leave Little Green Light to find out what high-conversion donation pages are worth to you audeince.

With the integration on, your donation pages, event pages, and peer-to-peer campaigns live in 4aGoodCause, your donor records stay in LGL, and the data moves between them on its own.

You keep the database you know, but add a fundraising engine on top of it. It’s a win-win.
