New in 4aGC – Donor accounts and more

We are always innovating here at 4aGoodCause. Since a big redesign of our platform in late 2016, we’ve had many rounds of fixes, updates and improvements including matching gift integration, Raiser’s Edge integration and much more.

Want to provide your donors with an online statement of their giving history, complete with printable receipts? That is now possible on 4aGoodCause. We’re happy to announce Donor Accounts!
After a donation or event order is made on 4aGoodCause we are now prompting donors to create an optional donor account. This is presented on the thank you page after a donor gives.
Creating a donor account is optional and is never required to make an online gift.
With this account, donors can track their giving history and print receipts any time. Any donation in the 4aGoodCause database associated with their email address will be presented to the donor in their account.
This will allow your donors to see all their giving to your nonprofit in one place and print the donation receipts or ticket order receipts they need at tax time.
We’ve added a new “I am a Donor” section to our knowledge base to help you guide donors through this new feature.
We pride ourselves on how easy our donation pages are for donors and are always working hard to make sure that stays true. With that in mind, we recently made some updates on how donors make tribute gifts. We leveraged some great feedback from our clients to make this section easier. You’ll notice updated instructions, labels and form fields. We think it is more straightforward and now includes an option for donors to skip the tribute notification if they like. Fraud Protection Guide + reCaptcha from Google
It also important for us to always keep our good causes protected from harm. One of the constant threats to online fundraising is online credit card fraud. We hope you saw our recent blog article on this topic.
We just released a new step-by-step guide to help protect your nonprofit from credit card fraud. This will walk you through the protections you need to set up in your Authorize.net gateway. It will also show you how to (and when to) enable a new feature, reCaptcha from Google, if your nonprofit comes under attack from donation page card testing.
In addition to the updates listed above, we’ve posted a few bug fixes and minor improvements to our platform recently.
