Matching gifts, Google Analytics and more
Thursday, April 13, 2017
This post will be the first of regular updates from 4aGoodCause about improvements, fixes, new features and more pertaining to our online fundraising platform. We’ve been hard at work in the months since we launched the latest version of 4aGoodCause and are excited to share our news with you.
Double your donations with matching gifts
The main focus of our most recent updates is integration with other products. We want to help you increase your fundraising by leveraging add-ons and third-party integrations.
You’ll notice a new section in your 4aGoodCause administrative website called Integrations. The first choice available is an integration with Double the Donation. Double the Donation provides tools and resources to help nonprofit organizations increase fundraising from corporate employee matching gift and volunteer grant programs.
If a donor’s company offers matching gifts, that donor can submit a request to have their employer match a charitable contribution they have made to an eligible nonprofit. Our integration with Double the Donation jumpstarts that process for your online donors by presenting them with an easy-to-use matching gift search tool on your confirmation pages. Donors can look up their employer and get the information they need to fulfill the matching gift.
Read our blog article on matching gift programs to see if matching gifts can benefit you. Also, see our matching gift integration guide for pricing and details on how to implement the Double the Donation matching gift tool on 4aGoodCause.
Track web traffic with Google Analytics
We’ve also launched a new integration with Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. If your nonprofit uses Google Analytics, you can enable our new integration to track the web traffic to your fundraising pages on 4aGoodCause. Find out which online fundraising campaigns bring the most traffic and where your donors are coming from.
View our integration guide for instructions on enabling our link to Google Analytics.
We’ve also been busy making other updates and adjustments to our platform based on feedback on what’s working and what’s not from our clients. Here is a small sampling of the updates we’ve made recently:
- There is now a field on the donation reports and downloads that will let you know if a donation came from a fundraiser page.
- We have updated the language on the fundraiser page comment field to be clearer with donors that the comment is destined for the fundraiser page.
- We no longer allow “suggested” videos from YouTube to play on our pages after your nonprofit’s video embed has played.
- We have updated the language on the tribute notification section of our donation pages to be clearer with donors on who will receive the tribute notification.
- We added military address states (AE, AA, AP) to our states drop down.
Our knowledgebase of help articles is always growing and is a great source for finding answers to common questions about our platform. We’ve loaded new articles recently such as our New User Training Video and many others.
What’s up next
In our next update, we will be launching a new integration with Zapier. Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Salesforce, Constant Contact, MailChimp and over 800 more. Stay tuned to our blog for more information.
A huge thank you to everyone who has given us feedback on our platform. If you’d like to share yours with us, please feel free to email us anytime — we’d love to hear from you!
