Your feedback, new features
We’re back with our latest post about improvements, fixes, new features and more pertaining to our online fundraising platform. We’ve just completed our latest round of software updates. The primary focus of this round of improvements was to work on a few suggested ideas sent to us from our clients. Not every idea gets developed but if it can benefit the majority of our clients while still keeping our fundraising platform easy-to-use, we’ll take a look at it.
Event page banner image option
Having images on your fundraising pages that connect your cause to the donor is important to converting online gifts and event registrations. By popular demand, the banner image option that has been used on our donation pages is now available on our event registration pages.
Drop-down custom fields
While you never want to overburden a donation form with questions, we’ve added a new custom field option for our pages – drop-down menus. These can be added to both our donation and event registration checkout pages. If you have information that needs to be gathered you can now launch a drop-down menu question in addition to the text field or checkbox field already available.
Max quantity per order
Do you need to limit the number of tickets or products sold in a particular event order? Perhaps you are selling raffle tickets online and want to limit the number ordered per customer to a specific amount. That is now available as a ticket configuration on our event registration pages.
“Invoice Me” payment option
We have added an additional, optional payment method option to our platform. The new pledge or “Invoice Me” option provides one more opportunity for your donors to participate in your online campaign, but still give in a way that’s most comfortable for them. Some donors, particularly major donors, may prefer to write a check and send it in the mail. The “Invoice Me” option allows these donors to publicly declare their support for you online, tell their friends about it on social media, and stand and be counted–but pay in the manner they prefer.
Here is a small sampling of other updates we’ve made recently:
- If you enter offline cash or check donations in our platform you can now select an “offline” payment method option to differentiate those gifts.
- The “supporting appeal” that appears below your headline on our donation pages will now appear on mobile devices should donors choose to view it.
- Add-on donations made by donors to help you cover transaction fees are more accurately noted as such in our reporting.
- New fraud protection measures have been added to the credit card processing to better protect our clients from fraudulent donations.
